1. About these terms
These Terms of Use apply to the website www.kingsempire.eu, KingsEmpire accounts, KingsOS and our games (together, our "services"). The services are provided by KingsEmpire, a company registered in Slovakia ("we", "us").
By using our services or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
2. Who can use our services
You must be at least 5 years old to create an account.
3. Accounts
- Give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- Usernames must not be offensive, misleading, or pretend to be someone else.
4. KingsOS beta
KingsOS is currently beta software (version 0.8). Beta software is still being developed and can contain bugs or cause problems, including loss of data. Back up your data before installing or using KingsOS.
- Beta downloads are available only to accounts we have given beta access. We decide who gets beta access and may change or remove it.
- Features may change, be added or be removed before a final release.
- KingsOS is built from scratch, with our own kernel and operating system, and may include open-source software. Each open-source component is covered by its own licence, and nothing in these terms limits the rights those licences give you.
5. Games
Our games are currently being developed. Names, features, release dates and prices can change before release. If a game or item is offered for a price, the price and any extra terms will be shown before you pay.
6. Acceptable use
When using our services, you must not:
- break the law or help anyone else do so;
- harass, threaten or harm other people;
- try to access accounts, systems or data you are not allowed to access;
- disrupt or overload our services, or spread malware;
- cheat, exploit bugs on purpose, or use bots in our games;
- pretend to be KingsEmpire or another person.
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account.
7. Intellectual property
The KingsEmpire name and logo, the KingsOS name, our games and the content of this website belong to KingsEmpire, except where stated otherwise (for example open-source software or third-party trademarks). You may not copy or use them except as these terms or applicable licences allow.
8. Links to other services
Our website links to services run by others, such as Discord and YouTube. We do not control them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
9. Disclaimers and liability
We work hard to keep our services running and useful, but we provide them "as is" and cannot promise they will always be available or free of errors. This applies especially to beta software.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data caused by using beta software. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Ending your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services change. We will change the effective date above, and for important changes we will tell account holders by email or on the website before the changes apply.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country.
